Ravindra Prasad Jaiswal

Ambassador of India to the Republic of Albania

Amb. Ravindra Prasad Jaiswal is a career diplomat from 1999 batch of Indian Foreign Service with varied diplomatic experiences.

Previously, Amb. Jaiswal has been Ambassador of India to the Republic of the Sudan from 2018 to 2021. His other diplomatic assignments include DCM & Minister-Counsellor in Embassy of India, Berne from 2014 to 2017, First Secretary in Embassy of India in Ethiopia from 2010 to 2011, First Secretary/Second Secretary in Embassy of India in Qatar from 2004 to 2007 and Second Secretary/Third Secretary in Embassy of India in Egypt from 2001 to 2004.

He has worked in various Divisions in headquarters of the Ministry of External Affairs, New Delhi including Gulf, Africa, Europe & Southern Division. Prior to joining the Mission in Albania, he was Joint Secretary in Official Language Division looking after work relating to promotion and propagation of official language abroad.

He presented his credentials as Ambassador of India to the President of the Republic of Albania His Excellency Mr. Bajram Begaj on 29 January 2025.

Amb. Jaiswal has degrees in Bachelor of Technology from IIT Delhi and Master of Philosophy in Environmental Sciences from Jawaharlal Nehru University, New Delhi. He can speak Hindi, English and Arabic. His interests include Golf, tracking and travelling.

He is married to Ms. Amrita Jaiswal and they have a 23 years old son.
